Agreement
These terms apply when you browse, link to, or otherwise use Beta Directory. If you do not agree, do not use the service. No account is currently required. Additional terms will be disclosed before an account, paid feature, or public submission tool is introduced.
Informational service
Beta Directory publishes editorial explanations and timestamped observations about public websites. It is not a security certification, uptime monitor, ownership registry, legal opinion, investment recommendation, or endorsement.
Accuracy, freshness, and availability
We aim to cite editorial claims and label observation dates, but public sources can be incomplete, delayed, redacted, or wrong. A website, certificate, DNS record, registration, product, or policy can change after collection. Check important facts with the website owner, current official documentation, or an authoritative registry before acting on them.
The service may be unavailable, delayed, or changed without notice. A refresh request does not guarantee that every upstream provider will return new data.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the service to facilitate abuse, harassment, unauthorized access, fraud, or unlawful surveillance.
- Do not evade rate limits or interfere with the service.
- Automated access must respect robots.txt, published crawler guidance, and reasonable request rates.
- Do not present a snapshot as a live guarantee or official statement by a listed website.
Using and citing directory material
You may link to public profile pages and quote limited portions with clear attribution. Do not copy an entire profile, mirror the database, remove source attribution, or imply that Beta Directory endorses your product or conclusion. Facts from an original public source remain subject to that source’s terms; Beta Directory does not grant rights it does not own.
There is no public bulk API unless one is expressly documented. Scraping that disrupts the service, bypasses controls, or republishes the database is prohibited.
Names, marks, and external sites
Domain names, logos, product names, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Their appearance identifies a record and does not imply affiliation. External sites have their own terms and privacy practices.
Corrections, privacy, and removal requests
You may request review of a factual error, exposed personal information, trademark concern, or unlawful listing through the contact page. Include enough evidence to identify the record and evaluate the request. We may preserve accurate non-personal historical observations when there is a legitimate editorial, security, or record-keeping reason to do so.
No warranties
To the extent permitted by law, Beta Directory is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, continuous availability, or security. Nothing on a profile replaces your own technical, legal, privacy, or commercial review.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Beta Directory and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary loss arising from use of the service, reliance on a record, external websites, or service interruption. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
Changes and contact
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features and revise these terms. A material revision will receive a new effective date on this page. Questions can be sent to contact@beta.directory.
